Today, this historic place has become a refuge where time seems to stand still. Here, the past whispers every detail of its history, while the present is lived with calm and well-being.

Cortijo de la Emparedada 15th century

In this place, a woman decided to seal her fate within stone walls. She chose to devote the rest of her life to silence, prayer, and eternal seclusion within the walls of our Cortijo.

This is how the story of La Emparedada began, which is also the name given in the Middle Ages to women who, out of religious vocation, decided to isolate themselves from the world and devote themselves to contemplation.

Land of friars 17th century

It was in 1620 when the Augustinian friars claimed the lands of Cortijo de la Emparedada, turning it into an important agricultural and spiritual centre.

Under the care of the monks, olive cultivation flourished on the estate, producing the purest oil, extracted using a pioneering oil press for the time. The historic mill is now on display in the dining room of the Hotel Corbella restaurant.

Nobles, marquises and devotion 19th century

Over time, the property passed into private hands, witnessing numerous events and transformations over the years.

Nobles and marquises became owners of the walls, filling the estate with prayers, banquets, and secrets that still linger in the air when evening falls.

The rebirth of the Hotel Corbella 21st century

In 2025, this centuries-old building was reborn as a five-star hotel, carefully restored to preserve its authenticity and original character.

Surrounded by 160 hectares of natural landscapes, every corner of the estate is designed to provide a sense of serenity and connection with nature.
